Project Management

At some point in our careers we all embark on a major renovation or build a new office. It’s one thing to put up a bunch of studs and run some gas lines in a dental practice but all of that is profoundly understated when the practice opens if its not backed up by a modern, digital aesthetic.

Coordinating technology with the structure of your office not a simple task. It requires communication, knowledge of codes and the electrical considerations surrounding the application of said technology as it relates to every other profession on a jobsite. You can’t put a speaker in a wall if there’s going to be a drainage pipe running through it. You can’t just assume that the contractor put some wood backing behind where your microscope is going to be mounted. You don’t have time to chase after the electrician to get a power outlet in the ceiling where you want your television to go. You need an IT project manager.
A Dental IT project manager understands where and why you choose to place televisions, computers, speakers, access points etc whether its to get better signal for impression scanners or to make sure your office has the ability to support the technology it needs to survive when the average drywall guy, plumber and electrician will happily assume you’re going to do everything in silence and on paper without that extra communication.

Project managers answer the phone when you call to say hey I think I want white monitors and a Sonos and are adding a new operatory that wasn’t on the blueprints. They’re the ones who will coordinate change orders and the professionals who will put those finishing touches on your office that you need to start seeing patients. The IT project manager is the first and last one sitting at the table with you when your practice evolves.
Dental HiTech has trained and experienced project managers who understand the products available to meet your needs and can think on the fly when your vision changes. They work with the other professions on a job to help them understand what your technology needs from them and helps you achieve the goals of form and function as it relates to computers, televisions, cameras, servers, wiring, software, network infrastructure etc which are no less important the very studs that hold up your walls. Open lines of communication and information sharing are the basic requirements of any of our project managers.
